Mr. McIntosh’s practice is devoted to the maritime field. His clients are local, national and international. He has experience is representing yacht owners, yacht clubs, yacht brokers, crew members, passengers, marine underwriters, P&I Clubs, shipyards involved in new construction, facilities that repair and store vessels, pleasure boats, both sail and power, as well as cargo vessels and cruise ships. He has considerable experience in representing vessels in collisions, disputes involving ship repair, repair facilities and warranty claims. His work has included salvage claims in all aspects of marine work including the salvage of historic treasure vessels. He has represented lending institutions involved in the financing of pleasure vessels, including new construction and has been involved in the arrest of ships for maritime liens and for the foreclosure of ship mortgages. In addition, he has experience in prosecuting and defending personal injury claims, including Jones Act, Longshore & Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act claims, and maintenance and cure. Mr. McIntosh has experience representing major manufacturers in product liability litigation, both on behalf of the insurance underwriters and through their self-insured programs.
