Jonathan David Rodriguez is an Associate Attorney at the Gunther Legal, PLLC Fort Lauderdale Office. Mr. Rodriguez currently practices construction defect litigation, personal injury, automobile/trucking matters, premises liability, business and commercial litigation, and first-party insurance defense regarding property claims.
Prior to joining Gunther Legal, PLLC, Mr. Rodriguez developed extensive civil litigation experience at several defense and plaintiff firms. His previous work involved handling a wide variety of homeowner insurance claims, homeowner and condominium association issues, labor and employment issues, personal injury cases. He also has a strong background in contract review, having advised small businesses on negotiations, vendor agreements, commercial issues, and commercial lease agreements. Mr. Rodriguez began his legal career as an Assistant State Attorney for the 11th Judicial Circuit in Miami-Dade County, where he prosecuted criminal, traffic, and DUI misdemeanor crimes from intake to trial.
Mr. Rodriguez earned his Juris Doctor from Florida International University’s School of Law. During law school, he served as a judicial intern at the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court of Florida for Judge Robert Luck, who subsequently served as a Justice of the Florida Supreme Court (2019) and is currently an incumbent judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. He also gained valuable experience interning with the United States Coast Guard JAG Corps and the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office. Mr. Rodriguez received his Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Central Florida.
A South Florida Native, Mr. Rodriguez in his free time enjoys kayaking, fishing and traveling.
