Priscilla H. Perez is a Partner at Gunther Legal, where her practice is concentrated on pre-suit and litigation matters involving automobile and commercial trucking liability defense, business and commercial litigation, and construction law. She brings to the firm a diverse background spanning both criminal and civil practice, which provides her clients with a well-rounded, strategic approach to litigation.
Prior to joining Gunther Legal, Ms. Perez practiced in the area of business litigation, representing clients in a wide range of commercial disputes. She also gained significant experience representing international claimants under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act (LHWCA) where she successfully litigated Defense Base Act (DBA) claims to final judgment.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Perez served as an Assistant Public Defender, where she defended clients charged with serious felony offenses, earning recognition from the Broward Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers with the Hat Trick Award for achieving three consecutive not-guilty jury verdicts. She also gained valuable trial experience as an Assistant State Attorney, prosecuting both misdemeanor and felony cases. Over the course of her career, Ms. Perez has tried more than 30 jury trials to verdict.
Ms. Perez earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of North Florida, where she served as ZTA President, Student Government Senator, and Student Advocate. She went on to graduate in the top 10% of her class from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2014, where she was awarded Pro Bono Honors for completing more than 100 hours of community service. She was also recognized as the Best Advocate in her trial practice course, served as Vice President of the Women Lawyer Student Association, and was an active member of the Robert M. Foster Inn of Court.
